Diaper Prices Going Up

Parents, get ready for sticker shock on diapers and baby wipes.

With the cost of gas and food skyrocketing, it's no surprise to hear that the price of keeping your baby clean and dry is about to become a lot more expensive. Popular manufacturers of diapers and baby wipes have announced plans to increase the prices of their products, according to an article in The Wall Street Journal.

Kimberly-Clark "plans to raise prices on its Huggies diapers and wipes by 3 percent to 7 percent, while Procter & Gamble announced a 7 percent rise in prices for its Pampers diapers and 3 percent increase on wipes," the article reports. No specific date was given.
The two companies are raising prices to keep up with the higher cost of the raw materials needed to make the diapers and wipes, according to The Wall Street Journal article.

An interesting side note in this story: The article cites a recent survey that shows shoppers are "less likely to switch to a cheaper brand on a baby product." Only 10 percent of the consumers surveyed said diapers were not worth paying more. For the overwhelming majority of parents polled, it's all about baby's comfort rather than saving money.

It'll be interesting to see if these survey findings hold true in the future considering that an average parent will change a baby more than 2,000 times in that child's first year of life.

Time To Clean Up Your Facebook & Protect Your Privacy!!!

Want to protect your privacy and personal Facebook Information? You notice every time you a Facebook page to obtain a coupon they always ask permission to access your information so you always have to click Allow to do anything. Well here is how you can delete those users from accessing your information. You should do this every few weeks.

Go to the top Right of your Facebook page and click on Account... Then in the drop box select Privacy Settings. It will then take you to this page. At the bottom left you will see Apps & Websites... Click Edit your Settings.

Once you clicked Edit your Settings it you will see this page. You see right in the middle of the page it shows you the apps you use. Click on Edit Settings to the right of these apps.

Once you Click Edit Settings you will be taken to this page. Each app that you have ever allowed to access your information will be listed here. Once you print your coupon from their page you no longer need the app. You can click on the 'X' next to the word Edit Settings and then Click Remove. This will delete the app and keep them from accessing any more information.

For the 1st time I actually got almost everything I went for at Walgreens. The past few trips I have had to revamp my scenario while in the store after realizing they were out of most of the items I went for. Today they were only out of the Ritz Crackerfuls which I had already been warned they may not be available in all stores. And the Free vitamins were all out as well. Luckily my scenario worked fine without those items. I even lucked out scoring free travel body washes on the deodorant. :)

Retail for all this was $97.40 and OOP I paid $8.04!!!
